CTC 2025 Website Refresh
Court Technology Conference (CTC) is hosted every other year by our long-time client, National Center for State Courts (NCSC). In 2025 we got to work with a mild visual style refresh and a plan for deploying content throughout the various conference phases. Keep reading to find out how it went.
Visual Styles
Back in 2023, we redesigned the CTC website with new content strategies and entirely new branding. The goal of the 2025 refresh was to keep the structural improvements while updating the variable aspects. Same logo and collateral typography, just a simple change with the new location and date.
Color scheme and graphics are always inspired by the conference location. In 2025, CTC was in Kansas City, Missouri. With green spaces and fountains as a notable part of KC’s landscape, it seemed natural to let green and blue lead the way as this year’s primary color duo. We supplemented the primaries with more shades of blue and green, along with an electric purple for standout contrast. The Kansas City Quick Guide page is a great example of how that palette played well together on the website.
Content Phases and New Features
The messaging we feature on the website changes throughout the conference lifecycle—everything from ‘save the date’ to ‘register now’ and more.
This year, we added a new feature for social sharing early in the conference lifecycle. We provided users with a colorful graphic and pre-written message, both easy to share with just a click or two required. This was a great way for attendees to boost registration by announcing their attendance across various social platforms.
We also changed up how we presented options to sponsors, with a features comparison table of all the packages. This simple tactic made it easier to convey what each package offered.
As with every CTC, education and registration are a primary messaging focus. Education differentiates each conference and drives registration. So, we promote education updates regularly via email and blog posts. The agenda page showcases the conference schedule and provides an overview of track topics.
Another new addition was a walking directions page directing attendees from their hotel to the conference center. Each hotel in the conference block had a sign in the lobby with a QR code to send users straight to the walking directions they needed. While the HALO 22 team has a bias toward Apple products, we recognized the need to be platform agnostic. Each set of directions allowed users to self-select how to get their directions: Apple or Google Maps.
This year’s conference is a wrap, and the website a success. Check out more pages below.
