We've found that many managed hosting services focus on pushing updates to keep the software current. Keeping a WordPress website updated is critical for security. However, WordPress has tens of thousands of plug-ins available.
Plug-ins are like medications. You use them when you need to treat a condition.
But, much like medications, plug-ins can have unintended interactions with one another. The best window for these unintended interactions is when they are updated automatically, without human oversight.
At HALO 22, updates are considered on an individual basis.
In fact, your entire tech stack is reviewed before we roll out a maintenance plan. We’ll check to see if you’re actually using the plug-ins you have installed and make recommendations if you can simplify your WordPress stack to minimize the plug-ins needed to meet your site’s specific needs.
Then, once we’re rolling on maintenance, we take a snapshot before major updates so we can rollback quickly in the event of an issue and keep your website available for your visitors.
We are happy to work on the sites where they are already hosted, which keeps your hosting inexpensive, more performant, and does not necessitate a migration. Our prices are for support and not inclusive of hosting.

There are two parts to our plans. First we figure out what we’re getting into. Then, we do our thing every month.
Onboarding: $250
Baseline the site so we know what we're working with and get your website in our schedule. That includes:
Stack Audit: Results in a list of recommended plug-ins to remove, replace, or install and any other immediate recommendations.
Create a backup of the site.
Schedule our monthly maintenance.
Have more than one website? All sites on the same hosting provider? Additional sites on the same hosting account onboarded at the same time are $150 each.
